About the WCARA |
The Westmoreland County Ambulance and Rescue Association was chartered in 1973. Today the association is made up of voting affiliates that represent decision/policy makers from licensed emergency medical services and ambulance services that provide emergency ambulance transports within the county. The affiliates are designated as primary EMS/ambulance providers within the county by their respective local jurisdictions. The mission of the association is to build partnerships and to create a unified approach to enhance the delivery of emergency medical services within the county by working closely with government, public and private entities, private enterprise, non-profit organizations and emergency responders. The association meets each month and is hosted at a different location each month. If you are interested in becoming a voting affiliate or would like to take part in our monthly meetings, please contact an officer of the association. We welcome positive involvement to help construct a stronger EMS system.
