The Westmoreland County EMS Council was formed in 1976 by a group consisting of EMS officials, hospital officials and concerned citizens of the county.   The Westmoreland County EMS Council was organized to help guide emergency medical response to our county and its citizens by looking at EMS delivery from all "angles". 

The board is comprised of EMS respresentatives, healthcare organizations, organizations that have a stake in EMS (AHA and ARC), citizens of the county, governmental representative and aeromedical services.
